Infamous 2 gets digital release

Continuing its experiments with early digital releases, Sony has made Infamous 2 available to download via PSN.

The game only landed on shelves two weeks ago, but now PS3 owners can avoid the trip to the shops and download a digital version straight to their console, according to the PlayStation Blog.

The download comes it at 15GB and is available for $59.99 in the US or AUD $89.95 in Australia. Gamers can also download a one-hour free trial which, once finished, gives them the option of unlocking the rest of the game.

The original Infamous is also available on the PlayStation Store, and is currently free of charge when claimed through the Welcome Back package.
