Intelli Reboot Digital invests in Mumbai developer UnderDogs

Five-year-old Indian studio UnderDogs has inked a major deal with digital platform startup Intelli Reboot Digital.

The Mumbai-based outlet started up in 2011 and has since created titles including Skatelander, Parking Evolution 3D and Smash Rider, bolstered by incubation in early 2014 via the Zone Startup India accelerator.

Intelli was launched earlier this year in an effort to invest in digital-focused firms.

UnderDogs founder Vaibhav Chavan suggested that this investment for an undisclosed sum would help the studio established further ties with companies and platforms including Disney, Samsung’s Tizen and MoboJoy, the digital store run by Baidu, as well as local educational portal Worldoo.

UnderDogs has previously contributed backend services to studios including Disney Indiagames, Idealabs, Games2win and Hungama.

“Through this acquisition, Reboot will strengthen its already robust digital portfolio, to become a prominent player in the gaming space focused on building gaming experiences for the global market, including corporate and celebrity games and enabling games to monetise effectively,” said Intelli founder Sameer Mahuli.
