Jak and Daxter HD Collection on the way?

Sony could be on the verge of announcing yet another retro franchise HD remake – Jak and Daxter.

CVG reports that a listing on the website of South African retailer BT Games mentions the SKU, though there has been no corroboration of these claims from any other sources. It’s not the first time the rumours have done the rounds, however.

Such a move would be no surprise, with Sony already revisiting a number of PS2 IPs (such as Sly Racoon, God of War, Ico and Shadow of the Colossus) on PS3.

Jak and Daxter first debuted in 2001 on PS2 and was followed by Jak 2 in 2003 and the ambitious open-world Jak 3 a year later. The last release in the series was The Lost Frontier in 2009.

The series is developed by Naughty Dog.
