Quality assurance firm opens new office to serve South East Asian region, and looks to take on new staff

Keywords opens Singapore office

Game QA and testing firm Keywords has opened up a new office in Singapore as it expands its business in South East Asia.

Keywords Singapore will act as an operational hub for the region, supporting new business and existing work for South East Asian languages conducted by the QA firm.

Along with the studio opening, Keywords has expanding an existing master services agreement it holds with EA in the region to now provide localisation, testing and audio services.

“We are excited about establishing a new Keywords subsidiary in Singapore,” said Keywords Studios chief executive Andrew Day.

“It is an important strategic addition to our Asian operations, which include our successful Tokyo operations which we grew organically over four years and our Babel branded, New Delhi studio, acquired last month.”

Keywords will be hiring new staff for the premises, as well as transferring staff from other offices.

The QA firm said it expects the new studio to be at the centre of fulfilling its existing commitments in the Thai, Indonesian, Malay and simplified Chinese sectors, and added that it should provide “profitable in its first year”.

Headquartered in Dublin, Ireland, Keywords purchased Babel Media in February to expand its QA chops.
