Leak from Laura K Dale, who has previously leaked accurate Nintendo Switch information

Leak suggests Beyond Good and Evil 2 could be Switch exclusive

Another leak from Let’s Play Video Games editor Laura Kate Dale suggests that Beyond Good and Evil 2, the anticipated sequel to Ubisoft’s 2003 original, will be exclusive to the Nintendo Switch for 12 months before showing up on other platforms.

At this stage, Ubisoft has not even officially announced Beyond Good and Evil 2 for the Switch, and all rumours should be taken as just that, but previously Dale’s reportage has been accurate about the Switch, so this is worth highlighting. She revealed the news in a tweet and claims the title is codenamed Odyssey and will be developed for the PC, PS4 and Xbox One, although these versions will be digital only and released after Nintendo’s exclusivity deal ends.

This sheds some light on the Switch event ahead of its reveal next week, and Dale also claims that Ubisoft have a teaser trailer they’ll be showing off at the event. This is all surprising, especially as during this interview with Kotaku, Michel Ancel’s comments make it sound like everyone will be getting their hands on BG&E2, however Nintendo have pulled off high profile exclusively deals before, with Bayonetta 2 being a Nintendo exclusive despite protests from fans of the original without access to Nintendo’s Wii U.

We’ll let you know more as we have it, presumably when the event goes ahead next week.
