Countdown timer appears on Fable studio's home page

Lionhead ‘surprise reveal’ due for GDC week

Guildford studio Lionhead has replaced its website homepage with a countdown timer that concludes on Monday, the opening day of this year’s GDC event in San Francisco.

It is unclear what will be revealed at the end of the countdown, though MCV notes that a pack of UK journalists are currently heading to San Francisco to attend a behind-closed-doors Microsoft event.

“It’s time for a fresh look for our website and maybe we’ll even have a little surprise,” read a message posted on the countdown page.

Develop understands that Lionhead has two Fable projects in development. The first, called Fable The Journey, is due for release this year. The second has not been publicly announced.

Development on the pioneering motion control game Project Milo was cancelled by Microsoft in 2010. Develop understands that a senior figure at Lionhead held talks with Microsoft to revive the project. The outcome of that talk is unknown.
