LittleBigPlanet 3 delayed by a week

PS4 and PS3 platformer LittleBigPlanet 3 is going to arrive slightly later than expected.

The game had been due to be released in the UK on November 21st but will now launch on November 28th.

We’re currently working our socks off with Sackboy and friends to get the game to you as soon as possible but it’s recently come to our attention that we’re going to have to move the release of LittleBigPlanet 3 in Europe by one week to give Sackboy the best opportunity to shine,” a blog post explained.

This was a very difficult decision to make but since LittleBigPlanet is such a globally appealing game, it seemed only right to give more people the chance to get to know Sackboy and his new friends.”

The US release date has not changed.

While the delay of a title like The Crew could possibly be viewed as a response to the launch of Grand Theft Auto V on November 18th (although note that Ubisoft says the decision is to allow for a second beta), it’s unlikely that Sony will be especially fearful of the limited market crossover of Sackboy and Trevor Philips.
