LittleBigPlanet franchise hits 8m user-created levels

The LittleBigPlanet player community has created over 8m levels across all titles, series developer Media Molecule has announced.

The studio revealed the milestone on the US Playstation Blog ahead of LBP’s five-year anniversary this October.

LittleBigPlanet continues to burst with awesomeness and pure creativity as we now have more than 8,000,000 community levels in LittleBigPlanet… and still growing," said LittleBigPlanet community coordinator Steven Isbell. "…Here’s looking forward to the next million!"

The series previously hit 6m levels in January 2012, and 7m levels last August.

LittleBigPlanet debuted in 2008 on PS3, with a sequel and a karting spin-off title arriving later on the console. The franchise has also seen releases on the PSP and Vita.
