Live updates announced for FIFA 10

Electronic Arts has announced the Live Season premium service has been expanded in a new standalone game mode for FIFA 10.

The service, first introduced in FIFA 09, provides subscribers with weekly updates that tweak the game’s content to reflect the latest developments in real-world football. Updates will affect player form, transfers, injuries, suspensions, fixtures, results and league standings.

FIFA 10’s producer David Rutter said: Every Wednesday is Live Season day where dynamic real-world data and analytics will be updated in FIFA 10 to match the weekly rhythm of real-world football and subscribers will have the chance to rewrite their club’s history.”

My Live Season will be available for the PS3 and Xbox 360 versions at 3.99 and 400 Microsoft points respectively for individual leagues. Available leagues include Barclay’s Premier League, La Liga BBVA, Ligue 1, Bundesliga, Serie A and Mexican Primera Division.

Alternatively, a package including all leagues is available for 7.99 or 800 Microsoft points.
