Lost Planet 2 cut on Xbox 360

Publisher Capcom has confirmed that it was forced to cut a significant” amount of content from the Xbox 360 version of upcoming shooter Lost Planet 2 thanks to the lack of space available on DVDs compared to Blu-ray.

This time, truly, the content that was cut was significant,” producer Jun Takeuchi explained, as spotted by Kotaku. In the end, we had to wrestle with disc space.

The edited content was way too much and dealing with that was more difficult than anything else.” The producer added that his team was on the verge of crying” as it continued to take away content so as to fit it all on one disc.

However, hope was offered to Xbox 360 owners with Takeuchi adding: I think we could be able to add that content at a later date as downloadable content.”
