Massive stash of PS3 games stolen

Retailers beware: a massive batch of stolen PS3 software is AWOL in the UK.

According to The Sun, thieves made away with seven pallets of PS3 titles, including 16,000 copies of Ubisoft’s Brothers In Arms: Hell’s Highway – worth 600,000 in total.

The haul was originally found by police in a Renault lorry, but it was stolen from their pound again hours later.

When police found the lorry again, all the stock had been removed.

A police spokesman said: We are pursuing a number of lines of enquiry, including eBay transactions where a number of the games have been potentially identified as being advertised for sale. Arrests have already been made in respect of this.”

Police are appealing for witnesses to the thefts or info on the games.

Ubisoft said: Fans needn’t worry as more stock is being parachuted in.”
