UK team crowned with New IP, Visual Arts, Technical Innovation, New Studio and Independent Studio

Media Molecule wins five Develop Awards

Small independent UK studio Media Molecule won home five – yes, five – Develop Awards last night.

That’s the most an individual company has ever won on a single night at the awards, which have been running for seven years and are the most respected awards for games developers.

Over 500 top industry execs were on hand to see four of Media Molecule’s founders collect the prizes.

The team had LittleBigPlanet, which was released late last year, to thank for the accolades. The PS3-exclusive helped ensure they won: Best New IP, Visual Arts, Technical Innovation, Best New Studio and also Best Independent Developer.
