MICROSOFT: Spring release for FFXIII

One of most controversial games of recent times has just been demoed by the game’s director Motomu Toriyama on Microsoft’s E3 stage – Final Fantasy XIII.

There had previously been some confusion over whether coding on the Xbox 360 version of the game had begun, or whether work was being held until the PS3 version was completed – a question that’s been answered now.

More importantly, the game has also been given a North American release date of spring 2010. That’s for the Xbox 360 version, anyway, but you can bet on the PS3 one being the same.

However, Microsoft will no doubt be chuffed that the release date was announced at its, and not Sony’s, press gathering.
