MS: Flight Simulator returns

Microsoft has announced the return of its popular PC series Microsoft Flight Simulator series, though something has definitely been lost in the transition – one of the words in its title.

Now known simply as Microsoft Flight, the new game will be developed internally by MGS and will be exclusive to Windows.

The press release claims that the game will bring a new perspective to the long-standing genre, welcoming everyone, including long-time fans, to experience the magic of flight”.

The IP looked like it might have been killed for good when Microsoft closed ACES in January 2009, the studio that has been behind the franchise since its inception in 1982.

The Microsoft Flight website can be found here.
