THQ unveils uDraw GameTablet

THQ has announced it will release the innovative uDraw GameTablet for Wii this Christmas.

The new hardware is a drawing tablet that connects to the Wii through the Wii Remote, which can be housed at the side of the device to provide power.

Players use a special stylus attached to the tablet to draw images that will appear onscreen. The pressure sensitive stylus also features two buttons that mimic the C and Z buttons to recreate the Nunchuk controls.

The GameTablet even takes advantage of the Wii Remote’s motion sensors to combine drawing with motion-controlled gameplay.

The device is due for release this Christmas in US, and will. It will be released in Europe in early 2011.

The uDraw Studio software will come bundled with the hardware. Other games due to be available at launch include Pictionary and Dood’s Big Adventure, with more titles due for release in 2011.
