National press savages PSN

The UK media has gone big on Sony’s PSN admission this morning, creating a nightmare morning for the platform holder.

National paper Metro has lead with the story on its front page this morning (pictured) with the headline ‘Panic Stations’.

The story is currently lead on The Telegraph’s website, while The Daily Mail, Sky and the BBC all have extensive coverage. In addition, last night both the BBC and Sky news channels were leading with the stories in their scrolling news feeds.

The Sun doesn’t mess around either, carrying the simple headline of ’77million PlayStation accounts hacked’.

Amidst the furore, platform holder Sony has vowed to hunt down whoever was behind last week’s attack on the PlayStation Network.

"We are as upset as you are regarding this attack and are going to proceed aggressively to track down those that are responsible," SCEE’s head of communications.
