Counter-Strike: Global Offensive said to be readying for Q1 2012 release

New Counter-Strike rumours circle

It may well not be the news that Half-Life 3 hopers have been waiting for, but if talk of Valve’s next potential game is true then gamers are in for a treat.

Kotaku reports that word from folk in the testing community has suggested that a brand new Counter-Strike game is on the way.

It’s said to be called Counter-Strike: Global Offensive and could be released in Q1 2012.

Counter-Strike has become somewhat of a forgotten title in modern online FPS world but the game retains a strong online community and is still heralded by many as the true father of modern shooters.
