New Devil May Cry confirmed

As had been rumoured, Capcom has revealed a fifth game in the Devil May Cry series at its Tokyo Game Show conference.

Called simply DMC, is being jointly developed by Capcom and Heavenly Sword and Enslaved developer Ninja Theory.

The Devil May Cry series first debuted on PS2 in 2001 and has gone on to spawn three sequels, the most recent of which was 2008’s Xbox 360 and PS3 outing Devil May Cry 4.

Boasting a new look for leading man Dante and a new contemporary setting, the game looks to deviate somewhat from the really quite strict template that shaped the other titles in the series.

Capcom also announced a brand new action IP Asura’s Wrath, which it describes as a fusion” between sci-fi and Asian mythology.
