New Spider-Man swinging for September

Fresh details about the exciting looking Spider-Man: Shattered Dimensions have been revealed, chief amongst them is a global release window – this September.

The game will see the web-slinger deal with shifting between four different dimensions, two of which have been revealed. One sees the wall-crawler set in the traditional ‘Amazing’ comic universe and another in the lesser-known ‘Spider-Man Noir’ backdrop. The latter is set in 1930s America amidst the Great Depresssion.

The Amazing Spider-Man experience delivers innovative web combat and visuals in a world that pays tribute to the classic era of the legendary Super Hero,” a statement reads.

In contrast, Spider-Man Noir features a cunning and covert depiction of Spider-Man, who utilizes shadows to perform stealth takedowns in a 1930’s-influenced, black-and-white cinematic environment.”

Earlier this year Activision boss Bobby Kotick made the surprise admission that the publisher’s Spider-Man games have sucked for the last five years”, pointing to a change of fortunes with the upcoming release.
