E3 2011: Publisher boosts its iOS line-up with new versions of its core franchises

New versions of core EA franchises to hit iOS

EA is bolstering its mobile offering with new versions of its major franchises coming to the iPad and iPhone.

A promotional video released by EA reveals that Madden, FIFA, Need for Speed and Battlefield are all coming to iOS.

EA’s Battlefield 3 is headed for a face-off with Activision’s Call of Duty juggernaut this autumn. Mobile versions of Dead Space and FIFA have proved popular for EA, who has invested more in mobile than its rival.

EA has steadily been rooting itself into the mobile market, notably buying specialist mobile publishers Firemint and Chillingo.
