Head of developer strategy Anna Sweet to talk on the evolution of genre in VR

Oculus keynote leads Evolve day at Develop: Brighton

The lead keynote for Develop: Brighton’s Evolve day will be held by VR specialist Oculus.

Evolve will comprise the first day of this year’s three-day show, serving as a day focused on examining innovation and the future trends of the development industry – covering topics such as VR and AR.

Oculus’ head of developer strategy and former Valve, Microsoft and Myspace staffer Anna Sweet will hold the talk on the evolution of genre in VR, encouraging devs to break down conventional boundaries and invent entire new ways of designing games for the nascent medium.

Develop: Brighton takes place from Tuesday July 12th to Thursday July 14th at the Hilton Brighton Metropole and includes a number of talks across a range of subjects pertaining to the games and development industries.

Other speakers at the event include Hideo Kojima, Robin Hunicke of Funomena and Bossa Studios.

Our very own Develop Awards will take place on the Wednesday, with Hideo Kojima’s reception of the coveted Development Legend award leading more than 100 companies nominated across a range of categories.
