Older PS3 SKUs being phased out

Sony has confirmed that the new 320GB and 160GB versions of the PS3 Slim that were announced at its Gamescom press conference last night will replace the 250GB and 120GB models currently found at retail.

Once stocks of the existing machines have sold out expect that to be last you see of them.

The 160GB machine will retail for 249.99 – the same price at the 120GB machine.

The 320GB SKU, meanwhile, will also include the Move Starter Pack that bundles a PlayStation Eye, one Move controller and a demo disc. It will retain the 250GB’s 284.99 RRP.

It’s unclear if this higher-end bundle will include the Move Starter Pack (which retails on its own for 49.99) on a permanent basis.
