Warrior's Lair production underway elsewhere

Pain studio Idol Minds loses Sony project

Idol Minds, the Colorado outfit responsible for the PSN title Pain, has ceased operations on its follow-up project Warrior’s Lair.

The reasons for the cancellation are not clear. Idol Minds was not available for comment at the time of going to press.

Sony has confirmed to Develop that the Warrior’s Lair project is in production elsewhere, though it remains unknown which studio has picked up the work.

Warrior’s Lair, an action role-playing title that transferred gameplay across PS Vita and PS3, was first announced at Sony’s E3 press conference.

A video of the game’s first showcase, when given the working title Ruin, can be watched below.

Idol Minds loss of the project comes amid rumours of job redundancies at the company. The rumours remain unverified.

The studio, which was founded in 1997, recently helped develop the Ratchet & Clank HD Collection for PS3.
