Plants vs Zombies Adventures hits Facebook in beta, PvZ2 delayed

Plants vs Zombies Adventures, a social take on PopCap’s casual tower defense franchise, has landed on Facebook in beta form.

The developer reveals the beta is limited to just a small number of players at the moment, but is expected to open up later this spring. The adaptation will bring new plants and zombie types, exclusive to the title, as well as completely new forms of combat.

The game was originally uncovered earlier this month, when EA registered multiple domains containing the title.

Within the Adventures announcement, PopCap also states that Plants vs Zombies 2 has been pushed back to early summer.” The sequel was previously expected to launch this spring.
