Pre-orders begin for Old Republic

EA has kicked off its pre-order promotions for its high profile MMO Star Wars: The Old Republic, as well as announced two special collector’s editions.

Players can now pre-order the BioWare-developed MMO and will receive early access to the finished game for their trouble, as well as a colour stone that lets them change their weapon effect.

Electronic Arts announced on the official Old Republic website that early access will be issued on a first come, first served basis to encourage gamers to pre-order the title.

The publisher also revealed the contents of the Collector’s Edition, which features special packaging, a Darth Malgus statue, sountdrack, and more. It retails for around 130.

This SKU also features six in-game items, including a flare gun, training drop, holodancer, holocam, STAP vehicle and mouse droid, as well as a special Collector’s Edition store where gamers can purchase more content.

The first five of those items will also be available in the Digital Deluxe Edition, which is exclusive to EA’s download service Origin.
