PS3 and 360 Assassin’s Creed title still due in 2014

Ubisoft has reiterated its desire to release an Assassin’s Creed title on last-gen titles this year.

The publisher first said that an AC game would hit PS3 and Xbox 360 when it announced Assassin’s Creed: Unity for PS4, Xbox One and PC in March.

Now CVG reports that Ubisoft boss Yves Guillemot told investors last night that the publisher intends to continue supporting legacy consoles for the foreseeable future”.

Assassin’s Creed: Unity was leaked a day ahead of its official reveal and the same report claimed that a title called Assassin’s Creed: Comet is in development for PS3 and Xbox 360, but Ubisoft is yet to confirm any details. It was suggested Comet would be set in the AC IV universe and take place on North America’s Atlantic coast.
