PS4 Twitch integration allows users to freely broadcast content

PS4 owners will have the ability to share and broadcast live gameplay footage from their hardware through Twitch, the live streaming video platform has revealed.

In a statement released during Sony’s big night at Gamescom, CEO Emmett Shear announced that Playstation 4 users need only press their Dualshock 4’s Share button to stream footage.

"Through this partnership we are paving the way for every PS4 gamer to become both a broadcaster and an avid spectator of amazing content," said Shear.

According to the announcement, PS4 owners worldwide will be able to broadcast gameplay directly to their Twitch accounts and can also view content streamed from other PS4 gamers.

As with Twitch’s service on the Xbox One, the features will be freely offered to all hardware owners.
