PSPgo price cut incoming?

Reports in the US are claiming Sony is to reduce the price of the PSPgo by a fifth at the end of the week.

Joystiq claims to have word from a retail source that as of October 15th the machine will see its RRP slashed from $250 to $200. Sony responded with a simple we don’t comment on rumour and speculation” when asked about the matter.

In the UK the PSPgo still carries the same eye-watering 225 RRP that it did at launch, though it can be widely found for less than 180 from many retailers. A drop to below 200 would certainly be welcomed.

MCV has contacted SCE UK for clarification.
