PSPs to lose PlayStation Store access next week

Sony has confirmed that the PlayStation Store will become inaccessible for some PSP users from September 15th.

IGN reports that PSPs in Europe, Oceania, Asia, and some parts of Africa will be cut off from Sony’s digital content store.

Fortunately past purchases and downloads will remain accessible and users will still be able to purchase content for the machine from the browser version of Sony’s portal.

The US market will remain active while Sony continues to "evaluate market trends" in that and other territories.

The news is a big blow to (both) owners of the digital-only PSPgo.
