Question marks over I Am Alive

Rumours are circulating that still mysterious console title I Am Alive has been relegated from a full retail console release and is now a digital-only product.

The report stems from Czech site GameZin, which claims that a lack of confidence in the product has lead to a release only on Xbox Live Arcade and PSN.

When asked by MCV if the claims are correct, a spokesperson for the publisher stated: "We haven’t announced anything and we have nothing to announce at this time."

I Am Alive was first revealed way back in July 2008 at E3 and was described as a innovative action thriller.

Later that year Ubisoft’s executive director Alain Corre told MCV that the new title, which at the time was being handled by Assassin’s Creed mastermind Jade Raymond, was the publisher’s "new baby", and that several sequels were already being planned.
