Raymond overseeing next Splinter Cell

Ubisoft Toronto is already working on a new Splinter Cell sequel, under the watchful eyes of general manager Jade Raymond.

Raymond confirmed that a number of key personnel that worked on Conviction have transferred to the studio to work on the next entry in the series, as well as an unnamed triple-A title.

All of the core team has relocated with me from Montreal,” she told Gamasutra. Where you develop a game does have an impact on who it appeals to… When you think of it like that, I think the Splinter Cell franchise fits Toronto.”

She confirmed the new Splinter Cell would use technology developed for Conviction, which held the top spot of the charts for two weeks after it was released last month.

Other Conviction developers that have made the move to Toronto include creative director Maxime Beland, and producer Alex Parizeau.
