The remasters of Resident Evil 4, 5 and 6 have shipped more than 1.5 million units according to publisher Capcom.
The remasters are available both digitally and physically in North America, where they shipped 1 million units, while in Europe they are only available digitally, with a physical release expected this year.
Resident Evil 6’s remaster launched back in March, with 5 following in June and 4 rounding out the remastered trilogy in August.
While the numbers are impressive it is important to note that this is the figure that has been shipped to retailers and not sold directly to consumers.
Capcom also announced that Resident Evil is, somewhat unsurprisingly, their biggest franchise selling more than 69 million units over the years. With the franchise’s next major release, Resident Evil 7, launching on January 24th 2017 that number will surely rocket upwards once again.
