Another Vancouver studio partnering with Capcom, report claims

Resident Evil project â??sent to USâ??

Capcom is again believed to be soliciting western developers to build games on its key franchises.

A news report on Kotaku suggests that Canadian SOCOM developer Slant Six will be building a ‘team-action-based’ Resident Evil title, and that the studio is hiring accordingly.

If true, it will mark the second Capcom project in the last twelve months that has undergone development in Canada – a nation which supports its studios locally and nationwide.

Dead Rising 2 was developed at Blue Castle Games; a studio bought by the publisher and rebranded Capcom Games Vancouver.

Capcom has declined to comment.
