Respawn dev dignifies Titanfall bribery trolls with response

The press has reacted really positively to the now-ended Titanfall beta – and that seems to have caused upset.

Accusations that the media has somehow been bribed by Microsoft and/or Respawn and/or EA into over-hyping” the upcoming multiplayer shooter have been rampant online in forums and comments sections.

Because it’s obviously an impossibility that journalists are enjoying what is a really solid, refreshing multiplayer experience.

So irritated is Respawn that it has taken the brave move of engaging with the masses by posting a rebuttal of the accusations on NeoGaf.

Anyone who thinks we weren’t living in the shadow of decade+ old established franchises at our reveal at E3 are as crazy as their conspiracy theories of anyone getting paid off,” producer Drew McCoysaid, as spotted by DualShockers.

We’ve had to fight tooth and nail to have a game that anyone would even know existed, let alone be excited for and want to create coverage of. I get it that its not for everyone, but to say we’re paying anyone off is downright insanity. Not to mention the height of insulting.”
