Respawn planning big E3 announcement

Having only been born from the ashes of the Activision-Infinity Ward saga in April, new development studio Respawn has promised a big time announcement” at E3 next week.

The promise came from the studio’s Facebook page.

Described by founders Jason West and Vince Zampella as being in its formative stages” in April, it would be a surprise if Respawn was able to give anything more than a name and a few concept sketches for its debut title.

All that has been said of the mystery game so far is that it is expected to compete directly with Call of Duty in the military action genre” and that it will be of huge summer blockbuster scale”.

The likelihood is that Respawn’s announcement will be delivered at EA’s E3 press conference at 10:00pm on Monday June 14th.
