Studio co-founded by Call of Duty creators says it is 'business as usual'

Respawn unaffected by EA layoffs

Respawn Entertainment remains unaffected by company-wide restructuring at EA, officials have said.

Though the studio founded by Call of Duty creators Vince Zampella and Jason West is affiliated with the reportedly closed EA Partners, community manager Abbie Heppe says it’s "business as usual".

"We’re just fine over here," read an update from the official Respawn Twitter profile.

EA has confirmed rumors of cutbacks as part of "organisational" changes at the company, but did not provide specifics.

Zampella has confirmed the studio will be attending E3 this year, adding "I have no intention of showing up empty handed! I can’t say anything else right now."

Though speculation suggests Respawn is working on a sci-fi FPS for EA, few details have been disclosed.
