Retail begins offering PS4 upgrades to customers

Many UK consumers who have pre-ordered a PS4 are now being offered the opportunity to upgrade to one of Sony’s bundles.

Those who ordered the ‘solus’ PS4 bundle including the console and a controller for around 349.99 are now being contacted by the likes of Amazon, GAME and ShopTo.

There are typically three alternatives on offer – a machine bundled with either Killzone Shadow Fall or Watch Dogs for around 399.99 or a ‘mega’ bundle including Killzone, a second DualShock 4 controller and the PlayStation Camera for around 449.99.

Customers who have yet to be contacted should just sit tight – most retailers are working their way through their pre-order lists in the order in which they were placed.

There’s no suggestion that any of the retailers named above are telling customers that the failure to upgrade will result in the loss of their order.
