Online retail listings have appeared suggesting that publisher Ubisoft is preparing two HD remake trilogies for PS3.
Zavvi currently has entries for both Splinter Cell Trilogy: HD Collection and Prince of Persia Trilogy: HD Collection. Both have a supposed RRP of 29.99 with the former due for release on November 26th and the latter on March 11th.
Ubisoft has made no announcement about either SKU, so both must be pegged as ‘rumours’ for now.
The presumption is that the Splinter Cell disc would include 720p HD remakes of the first game along with sequels Pandora Tomorrow and Chaos Theory – all of which appeared on Xbox.
The Prince of Persia disc, meanwhile, would likely include last-gen trilogy The Sands of Time, Warrior Within and The Two Thrones.
MCV has contacted Ubisoft for clarification.
