Sid Meier’s Ace Patrol hits iOS this month

2K Games and Firaxis have announced Sid Meier’s Ace Patrol will launch for iOS devices worldwide next week.

The World War I dogfighting strategy game will be offered as a free download via Apple’s App Store starting May 9th.

All downloads gain access to the British campaign and multiplayer side, while in-app purchases are required to access the other three campaigns. New planes and paint jobs can also be bought with real money.

The multiplayer component can be played through two-player hot-pad and/or asynchronous matches through Game Center.

2K’s announcement mentioned the game will be an iOS exclusive, so don’t expect to see it on Android in the near future.
