Microsoft's Xbox app arrives on Apple devices

SmartGlass goes live on iOS

Microsoft has launched the iOS version of SmartGlass, allowing users to control a variety of Xbox features from their iPhone, iPod Touch, or iPad.

The app has already been available to Android and Windows Phone users for some time.

SmartGlass makes it possible for customers to get extra interactive content on a number of their devices, such as a tablet or smartphone, as they play a game or watch a movie.

The launch is timed to coincide with the release of Halo 4, which makes heavy use of the tech.
