But consumer sales down 36 per cent to $218 million

Social revenues triple for Konami

Konami’s revenue from social gaming tripled to $216 millionin the 6 months ending September, the company has announced.

This was almost the same as consumer games revenue, which fell 36 per cent from $342 million last year to $218 million.

The rise in social gaming for the company meant that total net revenue stood at $744 million, up $5 million from last year.

The success can be attributed to popular titles such as Dragon Collection, which has attracted four million registered users since release on GREE in September 2010, with the total number of registered users on Konami’s social games hitting 11 million.
