Sony: Destiny will be PS4’s biggest system-seller

Platform holder says Activision’s upcoming shooter will be the biggest selling title for PS4 this year.

SCEE boss Jim Ryan told CVG that Destiny will lead The Last of Us, FIFA, Call of Duty and Far Cry 4 in terms of sales this year.

If I had to pick one, it’d probably be Destiny. We’re partnered up with Activision on that. The intensity and depth that the two organizations are working at is something I’ve never seen before,” he said.

Both really want to make this work in a really serious way."

The game is obviously multi-format so it will be out on Xbox One and 360, as it will be on PS3. But I think, certainly in our eyes, the main prize is the PS4 version of the game. We want to make that absolutely enormous.”

Sony is pushing Destiny on PS4 in a big way with the recently announced white console bundle. The Destiny beta will also hit PS4 exclusively on July 17th whilst all Sony platforms will receive exclusive content unavailable on rival platforms.

Destiny launches on PS4, Xbox One, PS3 and Xbox 360 this September.
