Game development training school bolstered by former SCEE third-party relations manager

Sony ex Tim Flett joins Escape Studios

Video game training firm Escape Studios has appointed the experienced Tim Flett as its new business development manager.

Flett spent over fifteen years working at SCEE, ultimately as third-party relations manager. At Sony he had been tasked with managing the development tools and communications team, tasked with helping developers get to grips with the PlayStation platforms.

After leaving Sony in 2008, Flett joined Emergent for a year as development relations manager, before moving on to the London-based development training school.

Escape Studios commercial director Mark Class said the timing of the appointment was ideal.

“Just as we are growing our games courses, so we are looking to improve our reach into the games industry via our burgeoning software and hardware sales division,” he said.

“Tim has a huge amount of knowledge and experience in the games industry, and is a strong addition to the Escape team.”
