SONY: Guerrilla Games’ new IP is Horizon: Zero Dawn

Killzone creator Guerrilla Games has revealed a brand new franchise.

Horizon: Zero Dawn takes place in a world where tribes are now inhabiting modern cityscapes that has fallen into ruin, caused by what seems to be a permanent loss of power.

Populated by monsters that combine fantasy with technology, the world forces players to sneak and hunt through what looks like an open world.

The female hero shown off during the gameplay demonstration wielded a bow equipped with a variety of arrows, as well as a disc launcher and explosives, while battling a huge robot-like beast.

The monster designs are reminiscient of Guerrilla’s Killzone franchise, but the gameplay is vastly different, adopting a third-person style.

No release date was given, but the game will be exclusive to PS4.
