Sony investigating slow PSN downloads

It appears that some European PSN users are having trouble downloading content at anything approaching an acceptable speed.

Anecdotal evidence emerged earlier this week in the approach to the release of Batman: Arkham Knight, with reports of 99+ hour download times for the 50GB title, even on the best of internet connections.

The problems also left many wanting to download the recently released Driveclub PS+ Edition having to wait several hours, despite the relatively light 2GB file size.

We are aware of reports that some users are experiencing slower then usual download speeds from the PlayStation Store,” Sony said in its support forums, as spotted by Dealspwn. This has been reported to our network team for investigation. Please keep an eye on this thread for updates.”
