SONY: PlayStation hosts first gameplay demo of Destiny

Bungie and Activision’s collaboration Destiny saw its first live gameplay demo on stage at Sony’s E3 press conference, running on the PS4.

The game, a role-playing first-person shooter, is heading to PS3, PS4, Xbox 360 and Xbox One, but the on-stage E3 demo gave the PlayStation 4 event something of a coup.

The fairly lengthy demo showed collaborative gameplay in a sizeable and graphically impressive game world.

Destiny – which Activision publishing CEO Eric Hirshberg called the "worst-kept secret in the history of secrets" so time ago – was first uncovered in 2012 in the legal battle between Activision and its former employees Jason West and Vince Zampella.

"I’m happy to announce that we’ve formed a long-term exclusive relationship with activation that will see PlayStation 4 evolve with the Bungie universe," said SCE group president Andrew House.

It is not clear how exactly House meant ‘exclusive’.
