Sony still planning free DriveClub for PlayStation Plus subscribers

A free edition of PS4 title DriveClub is still on track for PlayStation Plus subscribers, Sony has said.

The game was finally given a second release date yesterday – October 10th in the UK – after slipping from the console’s launch line-up last November.

And Sony has insisted to CVG that the free version remains part of the vision.

Whether the details remain the same – that being that the PS+ release will omit some of the cars and tracks but offer the same multiplayer and single player options – is still unclear.

The game’s design director Paul Rustchynsky has previously said that DriveClub won’t employ microtransactions.
