Sony’s US PSN boss departs

The PlayStation Network chief at Sony America has left the company.

VentureBeat reports that Susan Panico (pictured) departed after a successful spell that saw the service increase its user base significantly and strike a number of important content deals with partners.

“We can confirm Susan has left SCEA. We thank her for her considerable contribution to our business and wish her every success in the future,” SCEA ‘s Patrick Seybold stated.

It is not known who will be filling the vacated role, though interim responsibility is likely to fall to senior VP of marketing and PSN Guy Longworth.
