Star Wars classics to be available outside of PS4 hardware bundle

The four classic Star Wars ports announced as part of the Star Wars PS4 console bundle will be sold separately.

Sony at the weekend revealed two Darth Vader themed PS4 console bundles, including a 1TB console and branded controller. One includes Star Wars Battlefront and the other Disney Infinity 3.0, but both include codes to download four classic Star Wars titles – Super Star Wars, Star Wars: Bounty Hunter, Star Wars: Jedi StarFighter and Star Wars: Racer Revenge.

Yes – you’ll be able to buy the four games separately on PS Store,” Sony’s Sid Shuman said on the US version of the PlayStation Blog. They’ll have Trophy support, too.”

There’s no word yet on whether the games will also be released on other platforms, as there has not yet been any hint of them being PlayStation exclusives.

Shuman did add, however, that there are no plans at present” to release the Vader DualShock 4 separately.
