Super League to host Minecraft eSports events in US theaters

eSports organization Super League Gaming has announced plans for its upcoming summer tour, which will feature casual and competitive Minecraft sessions in movie theaters across US cities.

Engadget reports on the freshly released schedule of events for Super League’s inaugural season, as it aims to capture the games arcade atmosphere for a new generation of games and players by harnessing the growing popularity of the eSports scene.

The summer tour will host Minecraft events at 80 AMC, Cinemark and iPic movie theeaters across the country, offering competitive PvP matches and casual building sessions for participants.

The company plans the 28-city tour across America between June 15th and August 28th, followed by a more structured six-week competition starting on September 14th.
